Obituary

Diane Eloise Wilder, 72, of Charleston passed away peacefully at her home on November 25, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones.

Diane attended West Virginia University and graduated from Morris Harvey College and Marshall University College of Graduate Studies with a Master Degree in Special Education. She was a member of the AO∏ sorority. During her 33 year teaching career, she taught at McKinley Junior High School, Stonewall Jackson High School, and Capital High School. Through her teaching career and her many volunteer and charitable efforts, she impacted and influenced the lives of many. Diane truly loved her family and grandchildren, and dedicated her life to them.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd "Bud" and Eloise Jack.

Diane is survived by her husband, Larry Wilder; daughter, Azuree' Dee Wilder; son, Christopher Cain Wilder and his wife Joanna; grandchildren, Tyler, Alexandra, and Mackenzie Salerno; and Reed and Lila Wilder; sister, Linda Wood (Sam); brother Larry Jack (Sherry), and nephews, Samuel Wood and Joshua Jack (Tricia).

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 1 at Dunbar First Baptist Church with Reverend Tom Stevens and Reverend David Keeney officiating.

Family and friends may gather from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

A special Thank You to all her special friends who came and visited, called, and prayed for her during her illness. The family would also like to thank the medical staff and nurses of CPICU at CAMC Memorial Hospital for all the heartfelt care and concern given to Diane and her family.

Diane worked with and supported many charities. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name may be made to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier Street, Charleston, WV 25311 and Mountain Mission Inc., 1620 7 th Ave, Charleston, WV 25387, or embrace a cause close to your heart to support.
