Doris Virginia Beasley, 96, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away on May 3, 2021.

She was born on October 2, 1924 in Dunbar, West Virginia to the late Shirley Ivan Painter and Mabel Alice Morton Painter.

Doris had a beautiful soprano singing voice and often performed at the Greenbrier resort in the early 1940s. She married Robert Murray Beasley in 1942. She and Robert "Bob" enjoyed 65 years of marriage before his passing. They lived in Frankfurt, Kentucky for many years before moving to Annandale, Virginia. They were a warm, fun loving couple devoted to each other and their family.

She was a loving mother and very active in Annandale United Methodist church choir where she often performed solos.

Doris was employed as a secretary at West Springfield High School in Springfield, Virginia. She had a vibrant, outgoing personality, loved entertaining and valued the company of her girlfriends. Doris was a skilled bridge player. Her nieces and nephews loved visiting "aunt Doris" because she was a wonderful cook, tour guide and knew how to make everyone feel welcome.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Robert Steven Beasley and Kathi Lynn Cash; daughter-in-law, Cecelia Beasley; son-in-law, Randy Cash; granddaughter, Christine Lauderdale and her husband Jerry; three grandsons, Nick, Nathan & Skylar; brother, Don Painter and sister-in-law Helen Painter; sister, Shirley Ann Kinder and brother-in-law Lowell Kinder; and a host of devoted nieces & nephews.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 7, in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar, West Virginia.
