On December 2, 2015 after a short illness, Joyce Salisbury, 72, mother and sister, went home to be with the Lord.
She was a dedicated employee of Columbia Gas Transmission Corp for over 25 years.
Joyce was a hardworking, very generous woman. Her favorite things to do were getting together with family, going to yard sales, sitting on her porch in the evenings rocking any baby available, sleeping in her recliner and cooking anyone an excellent homemade meal.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, John & Carol Clark of Charleston; brothers, Delmar Clark of Kentucky and James Clark of Charleston; sister, Nancy Francisco of Charleston; and her loved nephew, Richard Clark of Charleston.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Salisbury (Lee Thompson) of Clayton N.C. and Natasha (Kerry) Armstrong of Hernshaw; son, John (Christy) Salisbury of Cross Lanes; sisters, Ruby Shaffer of Nitro and Betty Baxter of Paraguay; brothers, John Clark of Charleston and Donald (Terri) Clark of Poca; and lastly the light of her life, her grandchildren, Alexandria Salisbury of Greensboro, N.C., Nicholas Salisbury of Poca, and Jewel, Bradlee and Markus Armstrong of Hernshaw.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 6 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Rob VanFossen officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
