Louis Edward Francisco passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2019 surrounded by his daughters at Hubbard Hospice House West in South Charleston.
Louis was born on December 20, 1937 along with his twin sister, Lois in Charleston, to the late Bertha and William Francisco.
He graduated from Dunbar High School in 1956 and joined the Army National Guard to serve his country. While serving his country, he met the love of his life, Phyllis Yoak, and proposed on New Year's Eve 1961.
Louis and Phyllis were happily married on February 2, 1962 and shared a wonderful 55 years together. They had two beautiful daughters, Tina and Lisa, four gorgeous granddaughters and one handsome grandson.
Louis's professional career began at FMC. He then went on to work for UPS, where he worked for 30 years.
Always known as the life of the party and a loyal friend, Louis led a very active, athletic and social life. His favorite hobby was golfing, for which he is very well known, due to his accomplishments and awards.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years,

He is survived by two daughters, Tina L. Carpenter (John) and Lisa M. Black (Doug); five grandchildren, Stephanie N. Carpenter, Brad L. Carpenter, Courtney L. Shannon, Emily C. Black, and Isabella M. Black; sister, Lois Godbey (William); best friend and golfing partner, Bruney; and a host of family and friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Jerry Medley officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
