Shirley Eugene Bailey, born on April 17, 1925, from Pocatalico and attended Sissonville High School was drafted into the U.S. Army on August 23, 1943. He was sent to France as a Medic and was seriously wounded on July 11, 1944.
After Eugene was released from the hospital, he was sent to the front lines in Germany...
